The Art of


Scott S. Higby

Scott Higby has been working as a professional freelance artist since the early 1990s.  He holds a bachelors of art degree from SUNY Potsdam and a masters of art degree from SUNY Oswego. He works in a variety of media such as oil, gouache, watercolor, charcoal, pastel, pencil, and pen and ink.  He is currently employed as an art teacher in the New York State public school system and his work is represented in many private collections in the United States as well as countries such as China, England and Germany.  Higby’s work tends to focus on people as his subject matter.  His style is representational-realism and he enjoys traditional portraiture, figurative works, as well as fantasy art and surrealism.
